Cookie Policy
A short, plain-English breakdown of the cookies and similar tools we use on lakeridgeliquor.com. For everything else about how we handle information, see our Privacy Policy.

What cookies are
Cookies are small text files that a website stores in your browser. They let a site remember things like whether you have already confirmed your age or which pages you have visited, and they help site owners understand how their site is being used.
Cookies we set
These are the first-party cookies our own site sets:
| Name | Purpose | Type | Duration |
|---|---|---|---|
lr_age_ok |
Remembers that the date of birth you entered shows you are 21 or older, so the age check does not reappear on every page. Your birthdate itself is never stored. | Strictly necessary | 30 days |
lr_age_denied |
Set only when the date of birth entered is under 21, so the site is not shown again during that browser session. | Strictly necessary | Until the browser is closed |
Cookies set by services we use
We rely on a small number of third parties. When they run on our site, they may set their own cookies:
| Provider | What it does | Common cookies |
|---|---|---|
| Google Analytics 4 | Aggregate site usage: page views, session length, general geography, referring source. We do not use it to identify you personally. | _ga, _ga_<property-id> |
| Google Ads | Measures whether a visit that started from one of our Google ads led to an online order or a click to our online store. Ad personalization is turned off, so we do not build retargeting audiences from this site. | _gcl_au, _gcl_aw |
| Netlify | Hosts the site and (occasionally) sets a functional cookie for security features such as bot mitigation on forms. | nf_jwt (when applicable) |
| Instagram feed | The Instagram widget on our homepage pulls a public feed via a serverless function. Instagram may set its own cookies if you click through to their site. | (set by instagram.com after you click through) |
Analytics categories
- Strictly necessary. Required for the site to work as expected — for example, the age-affirmation cookie above. These cannot be turned off from within the site.
- Analytics. Help us understand usage in aggregate (Google Analytics 4). No personal profile is built by us.
- Advertising. Google Ads conversion measurement only (see the table above). We do not run cross-site retargeting from this website. If that changes, we will list the cookies here.
How to control cookies
- Browser settings. Every major browser lets you view, block, or delete cookies. Search your browser's help for "manage cookies."
- Google Analytics opt-out. Install the Google Analytics opt-out browser add-on to prevent Google Analytics from collecting information about your visits to any site.
- Do Not Track. Some browsers can send a "Do Not Track" signal. Because there is no consistent industry standard for how a website should respond, we do not currently change behavior based on this signal.
If you clear cookies or use private browsing, our age check will appear again on your next visit.
Changes to this policy
If we add a new cookie or a new provider, we will update the tables above and change the "Last updated" date.
